Property Information
Description: The Albion Hotel first opened in 1939 to widespread critical acclaim. Igor Polevitsky, the creator of this sleek property, was a Bauhaus devotee credited with the invention of Nautical Art Deco architecture. Among Polevitsky's other projects is the legendary Hotel Nacional in Havana. After decades of decline, The Albion served as the grungy local headquarters for Abbie Hoffman and Students for a Democratic Society during the 1972 Democratic National Conveion in Miami. Rubbel Hotels purchased the property in early 1996 and began a yearlong 10 million renovation by award-winning avant garde Ecuadorian architect Carlos Zapata. In 1997, the restored masterpiece opened on Valentine's Day to renewed acclaim. Deposit Policy: This is a prepaid reservation. The entire cost of your stay, including tax, will be charged upon booking. You are only responsible for incidentals during your stay.
Guarantee Policy: In the event of cancellation, a non-refundable fee of $20.00 (USD) will be applied. This is in addition to any penalties which may applied by the hotel due to their cancellation policy.
Cancel Policy: Cancellations must be made 14 days in high season and 7 days in low and shoulder season. Failure to cancel reservations 7 days in high season and 72 hours in low and shoulder season prior to arrival time and by 3PM local hotel's time, will result in the first night's accommodation charge. No-shows will be charge (1) night room and tax.

It is conveniently situated at the corner of the Lincoln Road shopping mall, home to the Balanchine-influenced Miami City Ballet, the popular New World Symphony and a wide array of Miami's chicest restaurants, boutiques and art galleries. The Jackie Gleason Theater and the Miami Beach Convention Center are just three blocks away and the Miami Interantional Airport is jsut 12 miles west.
